I’m that regular guy: been working since graduating, married to Ruth for 25 years, father of three adult children, and enjoy running and cycling. And yet I am also not the regular guy. I know that I am a son of the Most High God. Although the offer is available to every regular guy (and girl), it is not the “regular” understanding of most of the people I meet. So that is why we are doing Union Reign. To explore the potential of being a son of father God, and then being his visible expression to reform the spheres that I can reign over with him. It’s a journey of desiring him and his governance – and I’m available to encourage all who want it.
Ruth
My name Ruth, is hidden in the word Truth. Truth is an insteresting word in this current age. The ruler of this world has twisted truth so that confusion rules much of our thinking. Some of us become quieter and quieter on what we know is The Truth. These sirens of lies and deception intimidate us into a captured state of compliance which is a distorted version of who we were created to be.
The Good News is that we have been given permision to lay hold of everything that Jesus laid hold of for us, here and now. We have complete access to God’s kingdom. To be priests and kings here on earth, right now.
My journey into the Gospel of Jesus, is a never ending adventure of relationships, revelation and truth which continually reforms and arms me with a greater understanding of what acutally took place on the cross.
I’ll be posting parts of my journey and referencing fore runners that have helped me to gain rich insight into the Scriptures and have taught me how to rule like a king and be a mature son of God.

I’m interested in storytelling and changing people’s perspectives through visual media to better the environment and livelihoods, especially those in marginalized communities. Currently, I’m doing honours in Environmental Science at the University of Cape Town. I enjoy long walks on the beach, being the eldest sister and worshiping God.
John Derek
Konnichiwa! I am a John. We are simplistic creatures burdened with the heavy-duty of keeping the family smiling and keeping life light-hearted (or ‘life-hearted’ as we like to say in the industry). Basically, I oversee human relations within the familial sector. I am currently “furthering my studies” at the University of Pretoria – which is prolonging the inevitable question of ‘what will I do with my life’. The answer to this question – much like my knowledge of how to write an ‘About Me’ paragraph – is widely unknown. So, for now, I am pursuing my interests in languages, sports, some sort of education and writing. Like someone with really bad arthritis, my fingers are crossed that God’s plan for my life will kick into action soon.
